Many of the times we forget to appreciate for the things which we have. Rather than appreciating the things we have in hand, we focus towards the things we dont have. Most of the times doing such thing is the ultimate reason to get hurt as we have to leave behind few things before we can move ahead. The thing which is ought to grow, is ought to die. We cannot actually control the things we get and the things which we want.
We always get what we deserve and correspondingly, we have to leave behind few things as we cannot have all the things together. The universal cycle of need and fulfilment continues to go complex as the days pass. Before making any thorough research about the things we want, we straightforwardly run after the things which we never needed. The sad fact is that we come to know that we actually did not wanted the thing comes after the tiresome and painful journey towards getting it is completed. Why not think about it before hand and thereby getting the right thing without having to regret over it? I believe that if we regret over the things, we seriously, yes I mean seriously; need to get our things right and set ourselves on right track before we set ourselves on wrong path which ultimately will lead us on the wrong goals.
Appreciation is the virtue which is seriously a rare these days. Most of the people have forgotten to appreciate the little things for which I think that they must be thankful to. Getting our things and appreciating the things which we have needs balance. I leave you with a beautiful line by Fredrick Koenig,

"We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have."
